Mitsuko

Mitsuko has straddled the boundary between Light and Shadow for centuries, knowing all but what to do.

Long ago in her family line, her ancestor Vassago served the Shadowbinder valiantly, giving his life for the cause. But on the other hand, the other side of her family line has served under Lady Lightweaver for centuries, and thus, Mitsuko found herself trapped between two worlds. As someone with visions her fellow scholars remained skeptical about, she had no choice but stay quiet. Preferring isolation than the company of those who wouldn't let her speak her mind, she left, instead keeping her abilities to herself until someone came to seek it.

And seek it they did, so her visions told her; in the form of a dragon trapped between two worlds in the same way she had been. Perhaps they did not seek her willingly, but when the clan of Starlight Cosmos found their new home on the border, not far from where she nested, it was inevitable something would change.

"Come with us," their leader offered, a Skydancer with regal beauty, the one she'd seen in her visions.

"All of us here have questioned where we belong, just like you. Together, perhaps, we can find a way back into the light."

Mitsuko accepted Nephthys offer. Their fates had been intertwined from the start, the both of them having too many secrets to keep. Whenever the Skydancer stepped into the shadows like it was foretold she would, Mitsuko pledged she'd watch her from the light, until the time came where they would switch places again.
