Lily

Little fae hardly wades through the thicket of strange plants, many of which almost swallowed her alive. She does not cry, as knows perfectly well that nobody could help her. Finally, she notices a small gap and rushes to it. Freedom!
After escaping from tenacious green paws she hangs in the air to rest. This has happened more than once. She woke up screaming from terrible bloody nightmares and rushing to the greenhouse of her mother, guided by primitive instincts, which replaced her still sleeping mind. Only after some time she realizes that there will be nothing but uncomprehending look and simple request: "do not distract from the research." In the worst case – exponential feeding "the kids".

Not so little fae is flying over the wasteland which is filled with only bones and corpses. Her eyes shrouded with tears, her wings are aching unbearably because of a long flight, which they are not intended for. But she does not allow herself to stop. "If you stop, you die. Or worse – will be back".
This was the last straw. He was so small, so vulnerable... But she couldn't protect even him. "Kill or be killed" - the last words still rang in her head.
She left her clan, her family and her name behind. She escaped.

- Hey, how are you? Are you alive? – someone's gentle voice tore her from yet another nightmare.
Fae barely opened her eyes.
- Can you hear me? – Unfamiliar yellow fae was looking at her worryingly. It was hard to define her age because of glasses she was wearing.
- Y-Yes...
- Can you stand up?
Fugitive tried to move. Muscles of her body responded with a dull ache and exhausted fae groaned.
- I See... Hey, Boggy! Help me please!
- STOP CALLING ME THAT!
A grumpy ridgeback put her on his back.
- Don't worry, we're not going to hurt you.
Fae didn’t find the strength to resist and fell into oblivion again.

Fae woke up lying on something soft. There was a bowl with a fragrant drink.
- Is it… for me?
- Sure. This will help you to recover, - yellow fae tenderly looked at her.
- Thank you… um...
- Taura. Welcome to our clan, the abode of abandoned and escaped. A little later I'll tell you everything. You can stay if you want, of course. By the way, what's your name, sweetheart?
"Sweetheart" put the empty vessel in place.
-...I don't have one.
- What a pity. We should fix this. Hmmm...
Former «Vampire» lowered her eyes, waiting for another "bloody" nickname.
- You know... Your beautiful coloring reminds me of a flower (at the mention of flowers fae shuddered). Tiger Lily… Lily… Suits you! If you join the clan, this name will be yours.
The fugitive did not hesitate a single second.
- I agree.
Taura laughed.
- Well, that's decided. Now go to sleep.
Lily fell asleep quickly and dreamed peacefully. Since then she almost never saw any nightmares.
