Maybelle

Maybelle was young when she left the Arcane flight and set off on her own to find her way. She has always enjoyed the ocean, so she stuck to the coast and soon she was in the Windswept Plateau, looking at the vast grasslands of the Zephyr Steppes. She had just set up her camp, when all these rabbits and jackalopes came sprinting through, nimbly avoiding her things, but still giving her quite a stir! Huffing and puffing behind them, she heard a voice say "Dang Flabbit you rabbits! Git yer selves over here!" She turned and saw an older Mirror dragon chasing his rampant herd and scrambled to help round them all up. Working together, with his speed and size and her tactical skills and intuition, it was short work to herd the wayward steeds back into their pens for the night.

The Mirror dragon introduced himself as Jeremiah from Nature flight and the Water's Edge clan.
"Little lady, you have a fine eye for herding and animals. It was almost like your read their minds and you theirs. How would you like to come work for me at my home?" said Jeremiah.

Maybelle agreed and now she works at the Water's Edge clan as the head herdsman. With her Searing Jackalope named Shaggy at her side, they keep all the herd animals in line and well tended to. She has a fondness for sweet treats and enjoys exploring the hidden places in her clan's territory (and sometimes not their territory!). She and Faran are very close as she is the one who first suggested star-watching to him, and she is the one who gave him the telescope and star-chart: a prized possession of hers from her original flight.
