Puck

Puck joined the Mistmaw Clan fairly early on, although Algodon and Lophii were far from the young loners they had been when they first set out. He came into a small, blossoming family, and he found his niche quickly. He wasn't a hunter or a fighter or a fisher--he tinkered. Puck has always been fascinating with creating. What started out as the repair and replacement of simple tools evolved into something completely different. He began to make wondrous, mystical gadgets to fill needs both spoken and unspoken (and sometimes completely esoteric).

He claims to be neither a magician nor a scientist, but something in-between. He calls himself tinkerer, creator, architect. He sees the possibility in simple parts, and fashions them together in what some say can only be described as an art. Whatever it is, though, it's made him very useful.

Algodon was, obviously, the one who smoothed things over with him and invited him into the fold, with how early he joined, but his next encounter was when she showed up, tense and boiling with barely-restrained emotion, and held out a broken knife to him. He offered to make her a new one, and she didn't have to say a word for him to understand that he would no longer be welcome if he continued to make stupid suggestions. So he re-crafted the knife--better, but recognizable. When she came back, she was happy with it, tension melting immediately into an easy joke. There was something entrancing about that moment for him, and from then, he was hooked.

From then on, he supplied Algodon with all manner of new and fancy gadgets. The rest of the clan as well, but his most superb exhibitions of genius went to Algodon. She appreciated and utilized every last one of them. The friendship they developed was enjoyed by both parties, built on mutual wit and respect. There were aspects, however, that Puck was fairly sure were not mutual. Not when Algodon was leader of the clan and everyone was constantly whispering about Algodon and Lophii.
