Griffon

When he was young, he realized that he loved to sell things, trinkets, familiars, you name it. He began gathering and selling things to the other dragonets in his clan. They would come by and Griffon would start up a friendly conversation.

One day, a green dragon wearing an orange fez came to his clan selling things, Griffon noticed how well he marketed his items, how all the dragons would line up to buy whatever he was selling. Little Griffon went up to the new dragon and watched as he sold item after item, and when the day was done, the dragon would pack up for the night and Griffon would head back to his family.

One day, while the dragon was waiting for the rest of the camp to wake up, as Griffon sat and watched, the new dragon turned to him and asked, "What's your name little one?"

To which Griffon replied, "I'm Griffon, who are you?"

"My name is Swipp, I'm a merchant that travels from clan to clan selling things."

"Wow!" Griffon breathed.

After Swipp was through selling that day he packed his cart up, Griffon turned to go back home as he had done each day, but Swipp called to him, "Young dragon, I am leaving today but I will be back, when I come back maybe I can teach you a few things about being a merchant."

"Really?!" Griffon gasped.

"Really," Swipp said, and with that he began pulling his cart out of town. Each year from then on Swipp would return and teach Griffon the art of being a merchant. One year when Swipp came to his clan he brought along two new dragons, dragonets in fact. One eagerly introduced herself as Pipp and the other sat mumbling about not being able to play with her friends. Ever since Griffon met Swipp he has been all the more passionate about being a merchant, he traveled from clan to clan for a while, but decided to settle down and sell his wares to his new clan.
