Biography
Enough.
The old tyrannical king knew this day would come. After all, he had himself gotten rid of his father to seize power, and his son was becoming stronger every day. He would not go quietly, and fought with a rare ferocity, but when his own personnal guard turned against him to side with the younger royal, his fate was sealed.
The execution was bloody and public, nothing like the previous patriarch's cowardly murder and disappearance. The clan had to know.
Long live King Noctis.
Prima Noctis, the first Night king (DEPOSED)
The old imperial was a relic of the clan's past, the one who would sire its terrible founder and king. Though he had been quite formidable himself in his past, the seasons had stiffened his joints and stolen his breath.
He'd seen his own son surpass him. The fight for dominance was fast and bloodless, and Noctis soon stood over his sire, daring all to protest his new place in the clan. None had taken him up on his challenge.
Noctis had allowed his sire to live then, but there was resentment in his subject's eyes - they had respected the older imperial, and would still go to him for advice after his humiliating defeat. They would obey the king, but they would not love him.
Well, then.
Noctis approached his sire's cave with his bodyguard in tow. The old imperial had risen with difficulty to meet his illustrious son, and had agreed to go with him for a brisk flight around the clan's territory.
Killing him had been almost disappointingly easy.
Noctis took his father's lifeless body as far as he could. Where it was hidden, only he knows.
