hbbu‹━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━« hbbuSidean keeps the Windsinger's altar neat and orderly. The incense sticks are arranged delicately on the low tea table, perfectly chosen to compliment today's brew. Wind chimes blow in the breeze from stained glass windows, opened just enough to let some sea breeze curl around the space. Light catchers scatter rainbows onto prayer scrolls, sacred paints, and assorted woodwind instruments. Sidean himself is frequently found either in his sanctum, reading poetry in the window nook with a cup of tea nearby, or up on top of the pillar and haggling with the grocers over silk prices. hbbuAs for the dragon himself, Sidean carries himself with a self-satisfied dignity. He carries out his duties as a cohen of the Windsinger with care and makes sure to present a warm and inviting space for any supplicants that enter the temple. Around other clergy and clan dragons, Sidean's constant holier-than-thou demeanor comes off as condescending and pretentious. For those who can roll their eyes and get past that, it becomes clear that Sidean is a vivacious gossip. He's one of those dragons who seems to hear everything (and with his connection to the winds, it may well be true) and is absolutely dying to tell someone all about it — to spill the tea, if you will. He and Regulus are frequent guests in each others' shrines, sharing tea and the latest news. hbbuSidean was raised on the Cloudsong and makes sure other dragons know it. The backwaters of the Reedcleft Ascent aren't wrong, per-se, but their traditions pale in comparison to the sophistication of the kite. Everything from the music and art styles to the kinds of teacups are just simply better there. For all Sidean talks about the Cloudsong, he rarely seems interested in making the return trip. He pays for special goods from his favourite shops and frequently writes letters to friends and family who still live on the kite, but it's unusual for him to visit for anything other than the Mistral Jamboree. When asked about this, Sidean gives a haughty twitch of his crest and a cryptic smile. "The hustle and bustle of the kite is the soul of the element, but it gets tiresome, you know? Jewels are all the more brilliant when viewed only occasionally." |
