Takora

Takora's origin is unknown and shrouded in mystery for most of the clan dragons, but only a few select associates of her know the truth. Takora hatched into the harsh world of Sorienth, in the craggy mountains of Dragonhome, alone and without protection. What happened exactly to her parents is unknown, if they got killed, abandoned her, lost her, no one knows. Since the second she was born she had to rely on herself only and fight for her life, no matter what. With an cunning intellect and battered body and some luck she got day by day just by, living off everything she could get hold off, or even scraps or carrion. In her youth she was a wanderer, a mercenary. She offered her battle and hunting skills to various clans in exchange for shelter, coin, healing or just food. She was a problem solver mostly. Got a nasty Beastclan camp near? She got rid of it. Aiming for a certain trophy of a mighty beast? For the right coin she slay it. Someone stole something? She will bring you the head of the scoundrel. All for the right price of course.

When she reached adulthood, her instincts called to her. She had to settle down and sire offspring, which she promptly did. She retreated to the place she was born, and started to carve a lair out of the mountainside.

That is when she met her suitor, a fae named Archonis. He was impressed by her determination and independence, and Takora was impressed by his magical powers of the earth.

The Queen of the Lair and loyal follower of the great Earthshaker. Her Guardian Charge is her Lair, to protect the Dragons and all creatures that live in it at all costs.

The dragoness is a seasoned warrior and does often not turn down or back up from a fight. She enjoys the heat of the battle and wears proudly her scars on her skin, and enjoys telling stories about the many honourable battles she has fought in her long life so far.

She can be a rather harsh and strict leader, and often imposes hard punishments if a dragon of her clan breaks the "Old Code" they are sworn to act at all times. But the dragoness has a good heart will not ignore a plea for help, even from rivalling clans.

But just keep one thing in mind, if you wrong her in any way, she will never forget.

She is also rather fast frustrated with jigsaws and has no patience with them. Usually Archonis solves them then for her (also her giant hands have problems holding the little pieces). The dragoness rather enjoys Runestones of the Arcanist because you have the quick to solve them and is a good mental training for combat.

She had found a wandering Bramble Guardian in her Lair and it also seems to fancy the great dragoness. Usually it sits content on the shoulders of the dragoness, only to leave the warm presence of her to devour nearby vermin.

Don't call her Banana or Lemon Dragon, that will set her off like an illegal firecracker.

Ever since an accident with an Onyx Cobra, that she survived thankfully without getting Gembond, she is frequently plagued with headaches that only can be relieved with Feverview herbs.

Other dragons describer her like this:
A proud and regal dragon, a terrifying beautiful ruler, there are few who would question their commands. Not above flaunting their material wealth, this dragon is adorned with the spoils of their clan's efforts. Their strength is not an act or facade, their walk exudes strength and power, from birth they have honed themselves. Not necessarily ruling with an iron fist, but also not particularly merciful or benevolent, they are certainly not the type to be predictable or focus on only one approach.

Not long ago Takora formed with the Water Clan leader Icescale and the Wind Clan Leader Tito an alliance named „Guardians of Time”. The clan leaders knew that after their first encounters with each other there was an invisible bond between them, so strong that it was not from this world, they assumed.

After long and tiresome discussions, and visits to the respective homes of the clans, the leaders met secretly to perform a ceremony, and seal the alliance with a pact by blood.

The alliance was now set in stone, in the water and in the wind.

The leaders are sworn to each other, and will help each other whenever one calls for aid, may it be in battle, be shelter, be food or other things. Everything is brotherly and sisterly shared and the other dragons of the clans are more then welcome to visit each other. They will be always treated like they are their own, can stay as long as they want in the lair of the other clan, get free food and healing when it is needed.

Often are information’s exchanged of the recent happenings to keep a web of steady information and a strong bond between the clans. The dragons of the clans are free to move between the territories and even get escorts home if they wish.

Also the dragons of the clans can freely mingle with each other and even have a permanent home with the other clan if they wish so, often with the blessings of the clans. Frequently great celebrations are held when a dragon of the alliance moves to another clan to commemorate the deep connection the clans have with each other and to deepen the social bonds.

The relationship that Takora has with Icesclae can be most accurately called “grump and not so grump”. Their opposing elements make it often hard for Takora to visit Icescale in her watery home, but the water mages of Icescale’s clan are more then happy to apply protection spells on Takora before she ventures deep down in the sea. Often they have different views on how thing should be handled, but Takora still respects Icescale arguments and often her prophecies are very accurate, often… not so. What they have in common that they love the heat of the battle and they both often charge without thinking into conflicts that easy could be avoided, but for that they have Tito that acts often as voice of reason from above.

Takora has quite peculiar relationship with Tito, being the only male in the alliance, and being quite a smug one on top of that. He knows his ways with words and how to woo the ladies with compliments, that of course the two females appreciate a lot. Of course being a wind dragon he has quite a low attention span and often drifts off to daydreams, but he knows when he has to pay attention, especially when the two strong ladies are talking. The ladies man often can persuade the two guardians to brush his beard and mane, and to be frank they don’t mind, since guardian ladies are quite fond of luxurious beards on males. But he would do never something stupid with them, would he?

Over the time Takora developed also quite a fancy for Tito, but those feelings she buried deep in her heart, that the alliance may not shatter over such trivial things.
