» The lady Veilmore is the mistress of the tea house, the most notable establishment for entertainment in Whispmore. Within the tea house her word is law for the courtesans and servants that sign her devils contracts for years of their lives in her service, and the service of other nobles who pay patronage to the tea house.
Existing outside the bounds of polite society, she fullfills a roll within the city that is non the less valued, even if not for wholesome reasons.
Her courtesans are trained with a strictness the knights who guard her endured to earn their swords, but while knights train to cut with steel, courtesans are trained to cut with their tongues.
There is not a noble within the city and many others she does not know the secrets of, and under her tutelage a common street lout can learn the skills of a diplomat and a spy.

But while feared and respected and known for her skills and ability to turn any dragon in to a courtesan of the highest class there is very little known about lady Veilmore herself, she holds many a dragons secrets, but has never willingly revealed any of her own.
Though many have speculated on her relationship to the Queen Amelia.
