An ace married to her best friend.

Nightdreamer has failed more times than she can remember. Failed to contain her identity, failed at the tasks she had been sent to do, failed to protect her sister. Failed to save her city. Was, in fact, the cause of its destruction.

What's the point of being omnipotent if you can't warn anybody about the coming troubles?
And what's the point of omnipotence if changing the future requires more magic than one person can possess?

Scarlet has wondered this for a millennium and a half, searching for an answer. There is none.

We were here long before the others. And we will remain long after. Our fate is your fate, and our strength is yours. If we fall, so too does civilization.
