AVINGTON
The Secret Keeper

Bio: Avington guards his pearl jealously, even more than most pearlcatchers do. Not only does he believe his pearl to be the physical embodiment of his soul, but he also feels that it contains all his darkest secrets. If anyone were to figure out those secrets--if anyone forced them out of him against his will or read them somehow in the depths of his pearl--Avington believes that the pearl itself would turn black and lifeless, and he would be doomed to wander the earth forever as a soulless shell.

Obviously, this is not a fate he wants, so he will only let those he trusts completely get close to his pearl at all. He keeps it in sight of him at all times, and when he sleeps he puts it in a special box with the key around his neck. Avington's antlers have grown on him since birth, and he has an impressive amount of magic, mostly connected to the woods. He uses it to make small woodland creatures follow in his wake, most of the time, or to make the path more even for his feet. The bright blue markings decorating his scales resemble the branches and roots of a giant tree. Avington considers himself a bit of a poet, and is always heard muttering to himself in verse. His poems are either about the forest, his dark secrets and what a burden they are, or an ode to his pearl. 		Forgotten Poet's Tools
