Biography

Taz bears the dubious distinction of being the first dragon adopted into the clan as a hatchling. According to the founders, she was found floundering in the shallows of Tsunami Flats, though how she came to be alone and so far from her home in the Southern Icefield has remained a mystery. She bonded quickly with the recently-hatched Oberon, the only other hatchling in the clan at the time, and eventually took him as her mate. As they have been members of the clan for the longest out of all of its dragons save for its two founders, Oberon and Taz long ago took it upon themselves to personally welcome all new dragons into the clan and help them get settled in; more recently, they have been joined by their sons, Dalton and Jared. Taz believes that Tundras are best at introductions, because they have so much practice.

Despite her easygoing nature and efforts to befriend every dragon in the clan as they arrive, Taz still sometimes struggles with inter-clan relations. Due to their long absences from the clan, Taz finds herself in a constant cycle of forgetting and befriending the members of the Mirror pack, which most of its members find irritating. Oberon has taken to handling introductions himself in an attempt to streamline the process. Additionally, Taz's celebration of her Ice Flight roots, which she refuses to confine to the week of the Crystalline Gala, is a source of contention with some of the Water dragons in the clan, who believe her disloyal to her current patron. Taz is well aware but unconcerned; she knows that she is capable of loyalty to both gods.
