Biography
Phyress wasn't the type to let cross-flight distances and culture shock get in the way of his dream job. Spire Acolytes, personal assistants to the Stormcatcher himself. No losing themselves stargazing for this lot, they get work done.
Phyress travelled to the clan seeking retired acolyte trainer Chleo, winning her tutelage with tireless pursuit. His partner Sylphide was happy to join him on this venture, having a natural disposition for the role.
But it wasn't so easy. The position has only ever been filled by spirals and faes, the only ones capable of keeping up with the deity's barrage of orders. Even years and years of training would not make him, an imperial, nimble enough. The last recruitment run of his generation draws close. It wasn't an easy choice, mulled for months over mugs of warm brandy on starless nights. But at last, the spell was cast.
His clanmates and wife were understanding. It wasn't easy transitioning from the largest dragon species to the smallest overnight. Everything was too noisy, fast, and big. He missed the strength and fathomless power he had before. To strike silence with a sweep of his claws. To be able to race up into the skies with a mere wingbeat.
But work was work, and one must make sacrifices to achieve their dreams – he says to himself every morning, as they continue their long, hectic shifts.

I fully expect you to want to exalt this dragon, but I just thought it would be good to know that they're a leap day dragon. If you have more patience than me, maybe you'll end up waiting a year or so to make some big money? Do what you will, and have a nice day!
Dear whoever wrote this, thanks for the note. This dragon is actually a nearly-not-quite lightning subspecies. I'm planning to breed him, possibly scroll him too.
It took me a long time, but he's finally ready!!!!
