Biography

The storm tossed the bamboo and wet leaves stuck to everything, the wind seeming more icy than cool that day. It was the tail end of winter and mistral breezes could be cruel. Beatrice found a tiny hatchling who was very lost and shivering. The child looked like a little bit of the sky and told her that she'd been walking from where she'd been born in hopes that a wind clan could help her learn to fly. Snappers born to a Wind clan could use their elemental powers to get them into the air, but one born to lightning? Beatrice used the help of bamboo structures and strong imperials, but she brought the little hatchling home and thinks of her as a little sister.

It was very frustrating for Nephele at first, living in a Wind clan but being trapped in their soaring homes, but then Leif took an interest in her plight. He loved to tinker and created a pair of mechanical wings that made her own strong enough to bear her in flight! Now she soars like the clouds and wouldn't give up living in a Wind clan for anything.
