Dexter's a friendly, easygoing dragon, for an opportunistic criminal. If he thinks he can get away with it, often overstating his sneaking ability and underestimating the intelligence of whoever he's about to dupe, he'll go for it. Whether it be fraud, robbery, or straight out lying, if Dexter is determined to do something he'll give it his best smarmy grin and "trust me" speech. When it all inevitably goes south, he'll throw a clawful of reflective fish scales either at the ground like marbles or in their wings to slow them down before making his daring escape.

If the dagger drenched in poison concealed in the venomblade hilt he keeps with him doesn't concern one, they'll probably go on to be good friends with Dexter! He's quirky, but largely harmless. Over time he may be able to accrue the guile needed to get away with being a smooth-talking conman, but for the moment he's just a naive skydancer pretending to be a cunning rogue.

Dexter is very apt with using shadow magic to conceal himself for the most part, but the glimmer of his body and the way his circuit marking blink like a recording camera is harder to disguise. He doesn't let any of his shortcomings discourage him though and parades around as the eccentric, slippery thief he hopes to someday be. But with friends he can rely on.
