Mictlantecuhtli is quiet the character. He is very greedy and envious. He lies and cheats to get his way. And he will stop at nothing to make sure that he has the right. Yet, he is straight forward and will tell you how it is, it either be good or bad. He's tentative with people's feelings and he's good at his job. That's probably the only reason why he's allowed to stay in the clan; also, his wife makes sure he isn't too much at times. Mictlantecuhtli works with the dead; well, almost dead at least. He is called to see if someone can be saved from the brink of death or not. Unfortunately, that's all he could do. He has this sense where he can feel how much will a person has to survive. If the will is string enough, he will call upon a doctor and instruct them on what they can do to save the poor dragon. If feels that their will is not strong enough, he will ask if there is any other of his services that they would like to utilize which include: burial services, cremation, sacrifice to their deity, mummification, organ donation, and many other things. Usually, he senses a strong will and he is able to save the dragons. The part of his job that gives him joy though is when they don't survive. He actually collects bones and his favorite are dragon bones, but he wont tell you which one they are in his hoard. Depending on the death services, he would ask if he can take some of their bones for himself. If he sees the dragon freak out, he'll say it is for research but that is a lie. When he cannot get dragon bones, he and his Tatterwing Carcass go on hunting trips. The way he arrived to this clan when he heard there was a dying dragon in his clan. Ecstatic he traveled with his wife to the outskirts of Ashfall to look for this dragon. He reached the clan's lair to immediately went over and examine Tlaloc. Everyone was very confused on why this dragon was just staring at their fellow member like that. It was then that Quetzalcoatl went over and asked what he was doing. Mictlantecuhtli, scoffed and explained to his feeble mind that this dragon is clearly dying. Quetzal, calmly, explained that Tlaloc is not dying but has a gene that makes his plumage turn white slightly. Dumbfounded, he retook his claim and said he was just testing him. He then explained his services and Quetzal was interested but said that they did not need his services. Of course this upset him and he wanted to prove him wrong. This was a start of their rivalry. |
