Biography
The dry, arid canyons of the Shifting Expanse is seemingly no place for a gardener, and yet it is this region that this young dragon claims as the origin of his passion. Growing up, Wymerus had many other passions, but like a tumbleweed tossed about by the breeze, his mood was everchanging. He couldn't seem to settle on what he wanted to be or do, and thus he dappled in almost everything just long enough to change his mind before he moved onto something else, and it wasn't until he encountered a nomadic clan of snappers that he tried something that would stick. These lumbering creatures were so unique to everything he'd ever known, and when they made camp near his home, he got to listen to their stories of the Viridian Labyrinth in all its green glory. One snapper in particular seemed to almost be a forest himself, as he was laden with heavy, sturdy packs lined with potted ferns and flowers that smelt so sweet Wymerus couldn't imagine what the woods themselves must smell like. This snapper was a gardener, and Wymerus was fascinated. He wanted to try it for himself, he simply had to! He bought some seeds, and took some notes, and before he knew it, the snappers were on their way, leaving him to his new hobby.
Many other things that Wymerus had tried had come easily to him, but gardening was a challenge. The soil was dry and unforgiving, and the seeds he wove into the earth required much care and tending. When the first batch failed, he tried again, and again, determined to see the tiny sprigs of green blossoming in his newfound garden. His clansmen expected him to give up, and a small part of the wildclaw did as well, but he found he couldn't. These little seedlings were little living beings, and he found himself immensely protective of them. While he took care of them, he grew other things, like succulents and cacti which came much easier. Finally, many weeks later, Wymerus's garden had blossomed. It was small, and simple, but Wyermus was filled with such satisfaction that he knew at once that this is what he wanted to do. He was going to be a gardener! Yet, the Shifting Expanse is no place for a young, ambitious gardener. He wanted to see other plants, taste other fruits, and walk among the orchards the snappers had spoke of, and so with some encouragement from his family, he left home to seek a new start elsewhere.
He found companionship in a female coatl named Bramley, who was the owner of a vineyard and garden. She hired him as a groundskeeper and gardener for her lands, and he's never been happier. He lives in the greenhouse itself, bathed in the delicate green and gold lightning filtering in beneath the trees. So far away from home, he's a bit shy, but he blossoms when he speaks about the vineyard. It's his heaven, and you can certainly bet that each and every plant he tends to has a name.
