Although he was born in the Shrieking Wilds, Invidi the Gravekeeper grew up in the Cairnstone Rest, where he served an eccentric noble family. His sworn duty was to keep the dead dead, and so he patrolled the haunted grounds every night, bound by this oath to his lord. He cut quite the menacing figure, dressed in ceremonial garb and carrying his enchanted lantern. Formed from the skull of an infamous sorcerer, its eerie green light drove back even the most fearless of the undead. Assisting the Gravekeeper with his work was Yorick, his faithful familiar, who contacted ancestor spirits and sought their guidance. Unfortunately, its lack of understandable speech meant the poor carrioncorn relayed these messages incorrectly if at all. Despite this tiresome duty, Invidi took great pleasure in his work, though he dared not show it in his somber face. He'll rarely admit it nowadays, but he did feel a bit lonely at times and often attempted to hold casual conversation with the spirits.

Today, his lord's house is no more, the last of their line having perished in an intense feud with a rival family. No longer bound to serve them, Invidi resides with the dragons of Refuge. He often accompanies the clan's warriors and explorers when they venture into haunted territory. In his downtime, he works as a novice medium and delves deep into the past of himself and others. The clan generally holds Invidi in high regard for his work ethic, but often dragons murmur behind his back that he seems to "lack social skills."
