Blackthorn

As a hatching, Blackthorn was taught that plague is the ultimate truth and power. It infects, spreads, prospers and finally conquers. This was his life, until his family fell to the very thing they believed in. A plague ravaged his family and in a matter of 7 days his clan was either dead to the plague or runaway to avoid the same fate. He did not have the means to run. So he stayed, and watched as everything he loved withered and died. After 3 days of mourning something happened. There was movement in the lair. Not the movement of scavengers, but of his family. Excited he ran to greet his family. Perhaps they had only been resting off their illness! He was wrong however. The bodies of his family had turned. They seemed to have fused together and an abomination began to rise from the lair he called home. A large undead dragon made from bones and tatters of flesh of his loved ones. It immediately saw Blackthorn as a living being and set out to feed on him. Blackthorn was quick enough to see this was going to end poorly and ran. He ran and ran. The land had lost it's sickly qualities and became barren and open. He had crossed into the lands of the earth clan. In the distance he could still hear the roar of the death beast that chased him so he continued to move. He turned to the east. A tree, larger than he had ever imagined possible could barely be seen on the horizon. He knew he must reach this tree. He asked those he passed of the tree and he heard tales that it was the land of nature. Life ever blooming. He knew then that this was the right direction. If anything or anyone knew how to deal with death incarnate, it would be life. As he crossed the threshold of the lands of nature the trees grew tall and the land burst with life. He asked anyone who could communicate with to whom he could get help from with the death beast that chased him. A common name began to emerge. Allekemyst. A dragon whom has dedicated her life to finding the cure to death itself. He searched for days and finally came to our home where his tale is still told regularly to excite the young ones and to teach about the pain and loss that we strive to combat. Blackthorn now works with Allekemyst with the hopes that one day, he will find the cure and he can bring it back to his home, so that no others will have to face the horrors that he has. Being chased by an undead abomination made of his own family. His own blood and scale.
