Gwyn has been told his entire life that he is a shade-touched dragon. The truth is more complicated. He is the result of a successful fusion between a shade parasite and a stolen light hatchling. He is the second successful creation, the first being his brother, Lorne. Daz created both for the sole purpose of eradicating the shade.

Lorne: his older brother, now deceased. Gwyn misses him every day. Lorne searches for Gwyn to this day, intent on freeing his brother from their captor's cruelty and lies.

Regi: his mysterious penpal. Gwyn has no idea who Regie actually is, beyond another shade-touched dragon.[/size][/color][/font]
