Ashbel

Ashbel is the archetypical father figure. He has some basic knowledge on every topic, (and if he doesn't know, he'll make up something very convincing,) loves little kids, has a wry sense of humor and is always ready to lend a hand wherever he's needed. The hatchlings love him, and often playfully tease him just to elicit his grumpy old derg response, (which he invented just for them.) Despite this, they know that if they're ever scared or lonely, Uncle Ashbel will be glad to take care of them. Dragons looking for support will often talk to him about their problems, as he can always be counted on to give encouragement and solid advice without trying to solve their problems for them. He is also an advocate of pleasant surprises and makes it a habit to try and make someone's day at least once a week. However, Ashbel also has some fun uncle in him and the twinkle in his eye will attribute to the fact that he has been known to pull a few pranks. But they are always fun and they only serve to endear him further to his clanmates.
