Fistulina

Fistulina likes to get into where she knows she doesn't belong. She was always a troublemaking young Mirror, but when she discovered that her particular coloration makes her nigh-invisible against some of the Hollow's walls, she became a nightmare to deal with.

Calocera tries to keep her in line, but what she really needs is a babysitter, not empty warnings. He has told her, sternly, multiple times, that she is a grown dragon, and needs to act like it. She always responds, cheekily, that it will be two more years until her first birthday.

She also likes to proclaim, on a regular basis, that she is made out of meat. I'm not sure why this makes her special -- I would say we are all made out of meat, with the possible exception of that abomination -- but nevertheless, the fact that she is made out of meat is something she can't seem to let others forget.

Now she's done it.

A little while ago, she decided that her new favorite thing to do was hide on the ceiling and pounce down in front of passersby to frighten them. It was a fine game for the most part - harmless, mildly entertaining... some of her prank victims even laughed with her once they got over the initial shock. Its only real consequence was making everyone slowly hate her.

Until she pulled it on Lysurus.

Lysurus isn't a well-mannered dragon at the best of times, and on this particular day his spines were in the middle of regrowth following a molt. He responded to Fistulina's jumpscare not with a slight start, but with the swipe of a giant clawed limb.

He nearly took her head off. I didn't see it happen, but nearly everyone in the lair heard a snarl followed by a startled screech. Quite a few of us came crawling out of the woodwork to see what had happened. We found Fistulina reeling and Lysurus lashing his tail about with contempt written across his face.

It's the first time I've seen dragons in this lair fight amongst themselves, though I suppose it wasn't really much of a fight. And since Physma fixed Fistulina up (more or less), nobody's ever spoken of it again.

I think Fistulina's learned her lesson, though. Now, she only punches down.
