Technically a trophy, Ramen was ordered (for the cost of a coatl-change) from the Mires clan and given to Shadowsong not even a day after he hatched. He's fairly friendly, if not timid and rather skittish around those he doesn't know. He prefers the company of Noodle to others of his own kind and is well aware of his status as one of Tarn's 'favoured'- a role he wholeheartedly embraces. He can often be found near the former clan leader he watches the world from the safety of his hood. Sometimes, he'll point out something to Tarn, but most of the time he's ignored as decoration. Though he's since silenced Cecelia, the nasty rumours as to the 'real' reason he was given to the clan persist to this day. The cruelty around him is met with a blind eye- the coatl pretends not to notice or care what happens. He's not a fool and he's loyal to Tarn, even if the Progenitor 'no longer leads the clan'. He's also well aware of the infighting in the clan, and by keeping his head down, he's managed to escape notice. Even with the internal changes to the clan, his life is precarious - he has very, very little say in it, and while he's curious about the Blank Parts of Noodle's past, he's... aware it's in everyone's best interest to not bring it up. |
