Eclipse is passionate about two things: The Shadow Flight, and Flicker. They are constantly following Flicker along, dangling their lanterns wherever she goes, so that she can't get lost.
Unlike most dragons, Eclipse doesn't care at all about which Flight one is in, and doesn't judge a dragon based on their Flight.
Well, they don't judge anyone except themself. They try as hard as possible to appear to be in the Shadow Flight, covering their face with a Daredevil Cover to keep their blue eyes out of sight. This is because of their history in the Water Flight, where they were shunned for their lack of prophetic ability, and they don't want anyone to know about it, or even ask. Flicker is they only dragon they've ever told.
Eclipse can't see very well, obviously, with the blindfold covering their eyes. Instead they're guided by the Gloomwillow Guide and pixies that hover above their ears, whispering, ushering Eclipse toward safety, and toward Flicker.

The reason that they love the Shadow Flight so much is that they fled from the Sea Of A Thousand Currents to the Tangled Wood and took refuge there. They even changed their name, so as to forget. A friendly clan took them in and raised them, and they learned Shadow's ways.
Eclipse is excited about travel a lot, and the open road is what feels right to them, after adventuring between Flight territories in their hatchlinghood.

During the elemental holidays, the gods called their elemental acolytes home to help guard the homeland against the dominance efforts of opposing Flights. This included Eclipse's own best friend, Jex, an Insubstantial Illusionist. The two wrote to each other occasionally after Jex departed, but three days into the festival, Jex's letters just. . . ceased to come, and deep in their chest, Eclipse feared the worst. They were at the Festive Favors shop, haggling with Joxar, when the letter came, announcing the death of their Familiar.
They began to cry, and the courier awkwardly left them to their tears, insisting she had other letters to deliver. Joxar escaped to the back, with the excuse that he had to check inventory.
And best that he did, as one member of his "inventory" had already escaped. Her name was Soot, an Obscuring Goblin. Soot dashed to the door, moving faster and faster at the prospect of escape, and was stopped in her tracks at the sight of the morose Bogsneak. She felt awkward, and didn't quite know how to react or if they wanted to be alone, but she didn't run away. Escape had been her focus her entire life, but she could sense that now was just the time to stay, and simply be uncomfortable, when her brain told her to run.
Soot sidled up closer, sitting next to the dragon, but not touching them. She blinked, and muttered "Do you want to talk?"
Eclipse didn't answer. They passed Soot the letter. She quietly read it, then asked "Was he your. . . friend? Familiar?"
"He was!" Eclipse sobbed. Cheer them up! Soot told herself. No, don't do that. This dragon needs to grieve. Let them. . .
Grieve with them.

She warily put a paw on their talons, and they launched themself, unexpectedly, into Soot's arms, nearly knocking her over. She froze for a millisecond, then carefully wrapped herself into their hug. Soot let them melt their sadness into her.
Soot felt a wary affection for this dragon growing. That night, she walked them home to their clan, and decided to stay.
