Biography
It's the night of Halloween.
All of the children have finished trick-or-treating.
It was a wonderful day, as you got to watch the happy, gleeful smiles on the children's faces when you dumped candy into their bags.
As you began to prepare to go to bed, you hear a knock.
Who could be knocking right now?
It was almost midnight.
Maybe it was just your imagination?
But another knock rang out in the stillness and silence.
You peered outside, and saw two people, waiting outside your door, cloaked in ragged green and purple cloth. They looked like they were glowing, despite the dark clothing. And of course, they were probably just some kiddos making their way back home from a long, candy filled night.
You opened the door, and you were greeted by these two mysterious, shadowy figures. You had a basket full of candy ready to pour into their hands, but they didn't hold out a bucket. They continued standing there, almost like statues.
After a stunned silence, you asked a question that had been aching at your mind.
"Who are you?"
They didn't answer, but simply just smiled. Their facial features were obscured by the cloak they were wearing. A strange feeling washed over you, one that resonated within you, while you tried to make sense of it. These people seemed magical, or something.
It was quiet for a moment.
At last, the green one pushed a paper into your hands. Surprised, you stood there and accepted it.
The purple one turned to leave. The green one went after it, but at the last second, turned and whispered something into your ear, in a quiet voice, clear as glass.
"Happy birthday, Chompella."
