Called 'Dai' for short.

Permanent resident in the healers/priests cave due to his parasitic gembond, Dionin does not enjoy the company of others excluding his best friend Vulpes and the mothering priestess Crystalflight. Conversations with others are usually short and forced with Dai using as short as sentences and words as possible.

Due to the gembond, The parasitic version given by a snake, growing over his entire body and threatening to turn him into a once-living statue his clan mates, Namely the clan Priest CrystalFlight, Help him out by removing them, It is a bit of a painful process but it is preferable to becoming an ornament.

The clan collects his gems and uses them as currency.

Due to his condition he spends most of his time in CrystalFlight’s cave, He does his best to help his clan still though and is often found sorting through herbs or gathering them close to the territory.

He would have been a brilliant and noble red if not for having his skin marred by the constant battle with his condition. He is sometimes envious of the other dragons in the clan who have the genetic version of gembond and thus do not have to worry about becoming a cave decoration and the inability to help their clan. Though CrystalFlight often attempts to reassure him that his help in gathering and sorting herbs for her is help enough to their clan and he should be proud of himself.

He often finds good company though in Vulpes, Who suffered many burns and cuts as a hatchling and goes about her day being held together in herb-dyed linens and metallic constructs, Causing her to frequent CrystalFlight’s cave more than any others in the clan besides Dionin.

He moves very slowly because of the gems weighing him down and stiffening over his joints, He is regularly told off by CrystalFlight when he is found flexing his paws, limbs and neck to crack the gems, Usually cracking his skin open and causing him to bleed.

Dionin has started tending a garden to help out more when he can't move from the cave, it also serves to help calm his emotions.
