no clan members in sight. only gusts of wind and the cries birds circling overhead met his ears.
dragon carcasses surrounded him.
he saw his hatchlings for the last time before he stumbled away in anger and confusion.

his face and body was permanently disfigured; his mind worse so.
when the nearest clan found him, he was a living injury.
they took his anger and hurt, taught him to harness it in the form of battle
they gave him a new outfit, a new name, a new identity
and now he wanders,
forever searching, searching
