Kirin- or Quilin when referring to its trans possession personality- is a genderless god of the end, and beginning. Kirin symbolizes the passing or arrival of prominent figures. With its presence, serenity and occasionally prosperity grace those around it. It is often a good omen, however this is not a guarantee.
As Kirin, it is considered a demi-god. As Kirin, it will often seek out those struggling with faith or beliefs, and take on a gender and form of something that will comfort them back into belief. Kirin will often turn up in a dream, and will cure the person of aches or sickness. Once restored, it takes pride in helping those with their struggles. Once visited by Kirin, it will leave a small scale on their forehead in the night, so they have something to hold on to, to remember It by.
As Quilin, it is tasked with delivering somber or joyous news. This entity will not speak: as its presence as a god speaks for it. Quilin tends to make a quiet yet sudden entrance. Whoever it arrives for is regarded with honor and esteem, and through life-or death-will be written down for their accomplishment. It is said Quilin leads the dead to the doors of heaven, and the new rulers to the throne. Unlike muck of history, however, Quilin is not covered in fire. Instead, it is of the wind, a gust in the sky, or a whip of wind flying by. If a normal dragon were to be touched by the Quilin materializing, they are left with a burn mark, signifying they have been kissed by a god.
Kirin and Quilin are the same entity, with the same body. However, Kirin can be 'posessed' by Quilin. It is a rare phenomenon that is called possession trance disorder. However, instead f the mind being changed, Kirins powers and body chane as well. The body gains more strength and godly finesse, while its powers drastically change from shapeshift and telekinesis/telepathy, to wind control, future sight, blessings, immortality, and exponential magic abilities. It is said Kirin's Achilles heel is located on the head area, but no one can be sure, since the mask it wears is hardly susceptible to blunt force attacks.
