Born through the alliance of Clan Seafall and Clan Morganite, Dreamcatcher is the son of the latter clan's genius mapmaker. The moment he hatched from his egg, he was sent off to serve his new clan, his blood meant to serve them well without even the slightest memory of either of his parents. He was raised with another group of hatchlings till he was deemed capable enough to begin learning and then proceeded to be tutored under the guiding wing of Phantom in geology. For the most part he had to teach himself how to make maps since his mentor didn't do much else besides bury himself in books and snap at him if he moved something somewhere. A huge issue Dreamcatcher faced was discrimination from his clanmates. Many dragons seemed to assume that because he was a dragon born of an alliance, should they upset him in any way it would damage their relations. They tiptoed around him, very few daring to speak to him outside of work. It was a lonely job and he honestly felt unwanted. One day out of the blue, he was approached by a young nocturne with a goofy grin on her face. She introduced herself as Fairy before suddenly asking him a strange question. "Want to run away with me?" He was bewildered by the sudden question, but in awe of her at the same time. He went. The didn't go very far of course, but just enough that they both felt freed of their stifled worlds. They took comfort in one another, telling their stories and the struggles of their lives. By the time the search party found them, they were ready to return and find a haven within the nightmare. Dreamcatcher started to come out of his shell, talking to others instead of waiting for dragons to come to him. He was all smiles all of a sudden, enjoying long winded conversations, listening to his many females friend's issues and hanging out with his male friends. He became rather popular being such a good listener as well as a loud spoken individual. He also adopted the skill of photography, selling off his pictures of the landscapes he makes maps of and giving some to Fairy who adores them. The two are inseparable friends. |
