    Born abruptly and ushered into the world with a cunning trick, Duplicity inherited her unique name from both trickster parents and an unusual conception. Her legacy began with two impish lifemates, determined to designate her patrimony by hoax. Having long-suffered jests on how their virulent coloring better suited any flight but their own, they made a pact to celebrate the upcomming Trickmurk Circus in special one-off, crash-or-burn peculiarity. After all, why not? Their current nest was incubating, health and whole...

    ..and so durning the final hours still marking the opening celebrations, they snuck their eggs onto an unsuspecting LIGHT NEST instead.

    "HA!" they shrieked, their purloined hatchlings staring up with bright-eyed glimmer. "What better way to celebrate the festival of the Shadowbinder than by tricking everyone?!"

    What better way indeed?

    She grew up spirited and sly, an energetic raptor who's as agile with her talents as she is with a wry writ. Generally the life of the party and ALWAYS into trouble, she's a wily sometimes-mercenary who honors all "three" of her patron gods in equal measure. It's a unsubtle way to gather three times the luck.
