A seeker of knowledge from a young age, Gillaegan has had many journeys over the years. Born to the Windsinger's domain, he will always hold the steppes and plateaus close to his heart, despite his current home among the chilly glaciers of the Icewarden's domain. He carries the songs of the highland in his soul, but has adapted to the icefields rather well. While many dragons of the icefields can be callous and hostile towards outsiders, Gillaegan's attitude still reflects the warm winds of his birthplace, which is what gave him the respect of those of his clan. His previous leaders have both retired to service under the Icewarden, leaving him and his mate Maella in charge for the foreseeable future. Gillaegan takes care of his Clan and welcomes newcomers warmly, just as his previous leaders before him. Perhaps it helps that his leaders too, were born under the Windsinger, so the transition of leadership was not so difficult to manage.

He is often found with his loyal Eyewing companion, Constance, by his side. She has been with him on his travels and answers only to him, though can be occasionally found with his mate as well. They share a very strong bond that has been forged over many adventures together, and it is a bond that holds no end in sight. He cares for Constance like he does his own children, and perhaps their bond lessens his sorrow when his children leave the nest to venture out on their own.
