Jobs: Delivering messages and objects. Wrangling unassigned familiars. Watching over travelers, taking care of them without letting them enter the clan halls.

Bauchelain is, without a doubt, the hardest worker in the entire clan. He enjoys his work, as hard as it is, and many of his clanmates have to keep him from taking on more tasks. Everything he does is done with a smile and with kindness. However, he doesn't have many friends, nor does he seem to make much of an effort to make any.

After the inauguration of the new clan leaders and the subsequent rearranging of living quarters, Bauchelain found himself with a new neighbor, Elsan, who is... Very clingy and very whiny. Bauchelain began to spend more time with the familiars than ever before, though many of the oldest and most loyal were sent into the deep recesses of the clan to sleep and make room for the new familiars, needing training and guidance. He uses the older friends to send messages, the ones who have not yet been sent away but have all but finished their training and are loyal to the clan.

Recently, these familiars have been returning with... Strange messages, from an anonymous dragon. They aren't addressed to anyone, but Bauchelain feels very strongly that they're meant... For him. He's begun to send his own, anonymous messages out with the familiars, but he has no name or location to send them to. Regardless, he gets a response, every time, unsigned and very thoughtful. Now, more than ever, Bauchelain wishes that he spoke the language of the creatures he cares for, if only to ask... Who is it?

As a guardian, he's always known that the call was a part of him, but he never felt it. He's been content to serve his clan and watch over his familiars. But now, with these mysterious messages, he feels a pull, deep inside him, to search... And he knows its the sender of these messages, if only he could find them.
