(runs between researchers to deliver texts and books) " Mother Mother - Legs Away Marlo is a mysterious newcomer to the clan, he is still learning to make friends with people, and is a bit slow to warm up to more blunt members of the clan. He is Dutiful and takes betrayals very seriously, whether they are committed by him or someone else. Marlo is secretly a huge romantic and loves romantic novels, he can be seen running to the hoard for a new one weekly and according to Touji, has even tried writing one himself (it was awful!) Even though Marlo doesn't have a skill for prose, he likes writing down his thoughts and keeps a diary with him all the time. Like his many siblings, Marlo was grown to the role of a soldier from a young age and was predestined to be exalted to the Flamecaller, but even though being exalted is the highest honor, Marlo was afraid of having a short life of a soldier and never getting to live mortal life to the fullest, he felt as if he was being thrown into a gilded cage and ran away from his birthclan. Ashamed of abandoning his deity, Marlo was depressed and alone. He traveled, accepting mercenary jobs to afford supplies. Marlo would have continued on like this for years, fighting, eating, and fighting some more, but one night he got badly hurt and was unable to fly. Marlo decided if this was to be his end, so be it. He wandered the woods, counting his steps and waiting to fall prey to any beast he'd run into, but shortly he grew weary, and sat to wait for an ending. When Marlo woke again, he was greeted by an imperial who introduced herself as Acantha, according to her, she had found him unconscious while teaching hatchlings to fly, and had taken him to the clan to be patched up. Marlo was treated back to health by Acantha and her mate Touji, and the three grew close, they all shared a past of leaving their clans, and the imperial couple helped Marlo to get back on his feet both physically and emotionally. As weeks moved on, Marlo wanted to leave the two less and less, and confessed he cared for the two, Acantha and Touji unexpectedly returned his feelings, and Marlo permanently settled to live with his loves. He does some simple labor to the clan like lifting things and delivering texts to Nehn. |
