Though Arcane, Riderch was not originally from the Abyss. He once enjoyed a comfortable position as a high noble in a court close to the Arcanist, until the day he was caught hoarding unhatched eggs for a reason he refused to admit. Tossed from the Observatory, he wandered Arcane lands growing leaner and more wily. Through his adventures, he often challenged other dragons to fight over resources, eventually meeting Siefre and besting him in a battle of wits. Siefre agreed warily to allow this newcomer to stay in his clan to get back on his feet, despite not knowing Riderch’s intentions short- or long-term. Given his past, Riderch may not have been the best candidate to enter a lair with unhatched eggs, but proved himself to be a worthy ally when he devised and effective way to help the nightly patrol fight off and trap encroaching Beastclan warriors. Eventually, trust was betrayed when Riderch was caught moving an egg from a nest of five, though he denies it. From then on, nests were guarded, and Tux was to accompany him inside the lair at all times.
Riderch can often be seen wearing variations of rogue attire, which masks his sound and scent while on gathering missions or in nighttime combat. He is constantly driven to improve his techniques and is always. These qualities of cleverness and innovation make him a valuable asset to any clan despite his suspicious behavior.
