Sebastian was often mistaken for someone harmless due to his bright colouring and calm demeanour, and he prefers it that way; it was easier to hide his past if no one thought to look for it.

Before Sebastian came to this clan, he used to serve in another as their assassin, claiming the lives of those that would threaten his clan, or so he was told by the clan leader. It was not until he had been sent to kill a visiting dignitary, sparking open hostility between the two clans, that he started to become suspicious of his leader's motives. Further digging yielded a plot to destroy the other clan, allowing them to absorb their resources and land at the expense of many lives on both sides. Sebastian stole the documents detailing the plan and brought them before the clan's militia and delegates.

They managed to avert the war and broker peace, deposing the clan leader and sending him into exile. Sebastian himself chose to leave, though many tried to change his mind. He felt haunted by his actions, never knowing which of his targets were truly threats or were simply killed for the former leader's agenda.

Eventually, Sebastian's wanderings took him to the Tangled Wood, where he stumbled upon a dragon gathering herbs, a poisonous snake slithering towards her. She thanked him after he'd killed the snake before it could bite her and insisted he return with her to her clan, if only for a meal and bed for the night. The dragon led him back to her clan, bringing him food before fetching the clan leader while he ate. She introduced herself as Doomsinger, thanking him for saving one of her clan before inviting him to join them.

Sebastian hesitated, wondering if he would repeat his mistakes here as well if he stayed. As if sensing his unease, Doomsinger told him she was a seer and offered him her help, however she could. With her assistance, he changed into a Tundra and added markings to his new fur, hoping that a fresh appearance would allow him some peace from his past while he sought to make up for the lives he took. To this day, the only ones in the clan who knew of his past were Doomsinger and her mates.

Sebastian now spent his days gathering reagents and making potions for the spellcasters and healers, using his knowledge on herblore to locate the necessary ingredients. He also used his extensive knowledge on poisons to assist the apothecary Church when his own knowledge on poisons and their antidotes had reached their limit. His deadlier skill set only came out when the clan was attacked.
