Biography
Úlfhéðnar
Most of Úlfhéðnar's past is a complete mystery, even to the very few who seem to know him well. He will tell bits and pieces if asked about his life before joining the clan, but nothing substantial.
In fact, not very much is known about the powerful dragon in general, who has far too many battle scars for his age. His arrival in the clan was sudden and unexpected, as no one expected for Mielikki to come home after spending weeks away in the Ashfall Waste with both her guards missing and a suspicious young Imperial with bloodstained paws shadowing her every step. When asked about it, the Matriarch simply replied that he had saved her. From what or who, no one knows.
Knowing that Úlfhéðnar had supposedly saved their beloved leader calmed most of the suspicions and nervousness about him, but not for long.
They soon learned that he is a brutal, vicious beast in battle, falling into a blind rage and literally ripping apart anyone or anything who comes near him, even clanmates if he doesn't recognize them right away. Oddly enough, he's never seemed truly apologetic for the clanmate's he's injured, which doesn't sit well with many.
It was months later before something far more unsettling than his bloodlust and volatile temper came to light, when it was discovered that he devoured the hearts of the enemies he had taken down, no matter what they are, dragon or not.
Many wanted him removed from the clan for this disturbing issue, but Mielikki refused immediately, saying that he would be a great help to the clan when the time came.
Since he's gotten older, Úlfhéðnar has calmed down quite a bit, and he sometimes seems to be a fairly normal dragon, but despite this, there's always an unsettling air about the massive dragon, causing those around to walk on egg-shells on particularly restless days, for fear that he may snap. He no longer consumes the hearts of his enemies, but instead wears their bones as morbid trophies, and sets their skulls out on display in front of his den.
Parents keep their hatchlings far away from the temperamental Imperial, and there's always someone with eyes on him at all times.
Even the extremely sweet-natured dragons of the clan are nervous about him, and many won't even go near him.
Úlfhéðnar doesn't seem too bothered by this, as he cherishes solitude and silence. But, if asked, he would probably admit that it does get lonely on the edges of the clan.
