_______________Elowen
lorekeeper | researcher

thorough ● scholarly ● skeptical ● focused ● objective

Elowen, an academic who studies the dynamics of multi-flight and multi-breed lairs, stopped by Clan Birdrib intending to conduct a brief survey. She has yet to look away from the trainwreck.

It fascinates her that so many conflicting ideologies can coexist in a single clan. She's working on compiling a full history of the clan as a whole and each of its subgroups, but until then, here's what she has discovered.

Matriarchs
Known members: Rose, Keavey, Ivy
Three of the eldest, strongest women. They act as figureheads and have the final say on any and all clan activity. Standard enough so far, but interesting note - two of them are Plague-affiliated Guardian dragons who co-founded the clan (along with their male companion).

Coatl Coalition
Known members: Mink, Cecilia, River, Ismarin
The first sign of subterfuge - a council of elders posing as nothing more than a few grumpy older dragons who get together to complain and play board games. Younger clan members think of these Coatls as useless and outmoded; few know that they have foundations in everything from research science to organized crime. It is unknown how often their input influences the matriarchs' decisions.

The Swarm
Known members: Rose, Euphemia, Acacia, Shiroba, Aether
The clan's primary defense force. Mainly female, largely Mirrors. They're skilled and vicious soldiers known for protecting their clanmates without fail, bringing home a bounty of food through hunting, and honoring the deities through offerings of young fighters. They are respected, but their ruthlessness is also a source of fear.
