Lore: The Chromatic order is devoted to harmony. They are born from rainbows and believe that the rainbow is the symbol of Lightweaver's love for her children. Therefore, they take on an austere monochrome appearance when it comes to their bodies, but allow their wings to brilliantly reflect the beauty of Lightweaver's love of her children.
Initiation into the Chromatic order begins in the egg. Chromatic parents fly their eggs
through a rainbow one by one while reciting an ancient prayer to the Lightweaver dedicating
the hatchling within the egg to her for eternity.

All Chromata posesses superior voices, and when Chromatic dragons raise their voices in harmony, the sound is said to be nothing less than pure magic. Chromata are all magically inclined, they work a unique form of magic involving their voices. The more Chromata singing a spell, the more powerful that spell is. Therefore it is the goal of every Chromatic lair to have a dragon representing each color of the spectrum.

It is also considered unlucky to have more than one dragon with the same secondary coloration within a Chromatic lair. Therefore dragons born with repeating secondary colors are sent to other Chromatic lairs to strengthen the harmony, or are sent to non-Chromatic lairs as ambassadors for harmony.

Habits/Personality: All Chromata believe strongly in unity and harmony. Therefore they are all comitted to helping one another and living peacefully together. While leaders often emerge organically within a Chromatic lair, it is rare for a Chromatic dragon to seek or abuse power. Chromatic lairs are often efficient and happy places, though the specific values and goals of a Chromatic lair can vary. It is possible to have a well-ordered and harmonious lair of Chromata who are focused on bringing down as many enemies as they are able, or a lair of Chromata who are all obsessed with brewing, or a lair full of diverse interests and personalities. The only guarantee is that they will all work together to promote individual and clan well-being.

Combat: The Chromatic Order relies heavily on magic, and will sing spells at their enemies. Therefore, fighting groups are often large in order to obtain the greatest harmony possible. However, it is not uncommon for individual or smaller groups of Chromata from breeds that are skilled in hunting to be responsible for providing food or protecting the lair.
Classifications: Lucent-Chroma - Chromatic dragons whose primary and tertiary colors are in the white-maize color spectrum

Tenebrous-Chroma - Chromatic dragons whose primary and tertiary colors are in the black-obsidian color spectrum

Prismatic-Chroma - A very rare type of Chromata whose secondary and tertiary are the same color. Note: Prismatic-Chroma MUST have spines for their tertiary gene.

*It is rare to see Lucent and Tenebrous Chromata living together in the same lair, though they do sometimes join ranks to sing spells. Prismatic-Chroma can be found living with either Lucent or Tenebrous groups, depending on their own primary color. They are, however, more prone to wander and often take upon themselves the task of traveling and spreading the message of harmony to any dragons they come upon.
