Anaïs is the oldest dragon of the clan. She comes from a family of nomadic imperials scattered in all of Sorneith. In her previous clan, it was custom for adult imperials to meet up once every now and then to nest - then, they would settle just enough time to take care of the hatchlings, before going their separate ways once again. Anaïs was born in such conditions in the Windswept Plateau, in a place she still holds dear despite having left it many years ago. During the brief time she spent with her parents and peers, Anaïs was taught the reason of her existence. Just like her ancestors, she would record the true history of the world, remaining neutral in all situations and keeping a low profile at all times. Once her parents left, Anaïs first studied the land that had seen her come into the world; her exact course after that is kept a secret, but Anaïs carries with her many books filled with recordings of events in different places and different times. She has only shared that before the Shifting Expanse, she was in Dragonhome.

Anaïs comes off as kind and loving, although a little bit eccentric. Her massive amount of knowledge impresses some, while it makes other suspicious; thus, Anaïs mostly keeps to herself as to avoid trouble. This does not however prevent some particularly skeptical dragons still wonder if her nice front is nothing more than a façade, especially after witnessing how cold and calculating she can become in the name of neutrality. Such instances are rare, and Anaïs manages to keep most people on her side. Whether her niceness is genuine or a simple mean to an end is unknown. Still, all can agree that their is a cloud of mystery surrounding her past which is somewhat unsettling. To ensure that no one will ever learn more about her that she desires to share, Anaïs locks her books in an enchanted chest who only opens for her.
