Erythrite

Erythrite, also known as Red Cobalt or Cobalt Bloom, crystallizes in the form of crusts, aggregates and tiny needle-like prismatic crystals. The color is mainly crimson red, but can also be seen as purple, pink, peach, and grey. Lighter color Erythrite usually indicates higher levels of Nickel. This mineral was first discovered in Saxton, Germany in 1832, is very abundant and can be found all across the world in places like Australia, Austria, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Mexico and the United States.

Healing Properties: Erythrite is a stone that helps the entire chakra column while assisting with energy flow throughout the body. The result of this total realignment is that it ultimately strengthens one's inner balance. This mineral helps identify areas that are in vital need of self healing rays. This can be a trait, physical injury or even an emotional reaction.



Erythrite came to Owl Wood as a very young dragon, and by April, 2016, had dedicated herself so diligently to training that she attained Level 25, and with a tincture, became a Mire Flyer. Over time, her understanding of battle strategy became more nuanced, and she restatted as a 119 Mire Flyer, and mastered the skill of Defend. She has given basic training to literally hundreds of young dragons, preparing them to live at the side of the Gladekeeper.

When she isn't training, she likes to poke around looking for gems and minerals, and has amassed a lovely collection over the years.

Some dragons hear the call of their ancestors more strongly than others, and they leave their earthly bodies behind during their first adult molting. Usually, these abandoned vessels are taken back into the environment from which they were birthed, through immolation, decomposition, petrification, or other means.

Occasionally, these dragons are recalled to their bodies to serve out a higher purpose. When the Earthshaker calls back one of his Snapper children in this way, a Geode Dragon is born.

However, even more uncommonly, a dragon of mixed lineage may hear the call of multiple ancestors. When Snappers and Coatls are strongly spiritually connected to both the Earthshaker and the Flamecaller, they seek out an active volcano and bury themselves in the ash, cooling lava, and pyroclastic flow to ascend to their exalted calling. As their bodies sleep, the heat and pressure of the volcanic atmosphere changes them, creating a metamorphic wonder. A reawakening of these special dragons from their slumber results in the birth of a beautiful Pyroclastic Geode Dragon!
