Lelantos

Lelantos was hatched as a very bright and cheerful imperial with a loving heart. All he wanted to do in the world was good. But that was hard when he was born into such a large family. He tried to spread his enthusiasm and cheer, but his brothers and sisters weren't on the same page as him. They thought he was different and that he didn't fit in. They bullied and made fun of him, mostly abut his personality. This went on for a while, and Lelentos closed the world out. Nobody in his clan even noticed the little imperial's color slowly dulling and eventually his cheerful personality disappearing, never to be seen again. Since becoming depressed, his colors have changed: his beautiful black body becoming grey, his wings have slowly fading from a bright red to a dull silver, and his dark blue underbelly becoming a faded purple. With nothing left to hold onto, he left his clan. He then wandered the world, searching for the happiness he once had. For a long time, he never found it, but one day he stumbled stumbled into a little clan on the edge of a forest. They invited him to stay for awhile and rest from his wanderings. He first refused, but with their constant insisting, he finally agreed. Most of the dragons found him standoffish and unsociable, but one little hatching thought different. A little bouncy spiral named Nora took interest in Lelantos and followed him around everywhere. At first, Lelantos avoided this hatchling as it reminded of him when he was younger, and it pained him to think about his past. But as Nora persisted, Lelantos grew more and more fond of the little girl and eventually started enjoying the company. Nora had found a way into his heart, around the walls Lelantos had put up. And on the day Lelantos was scheduled to leave, Nora packed her things and insisted she go with him. After much persisting, he finally complied. They both said goodbye to the clan and, the now healed Lelantos and the happy Nora set off. They both are currently looking for a clan where they can be at peace with. Lelantos wishes of days spent lounging in the sun while watching little Nora and the other hatchlings play together. From the mess that he once was, he has turned into a kind and loving imperial, and, if you look close enough, you might even notice him slowly regaining back his color.
