Flamenco is a reclusive poet who never came out of his lair unless he had good reason to, usually if something big or full of “good luck” were to happen. He doesn’t even leave to get food or water, or to talk to anyone.

Whenever Flamenco writes something about a relatively morbid subject (which is very often), "terrible" things happen to dragons around him, such as falling and spraining an ankle, or being ambushed by rogue Longneck clans. However, these incidences hold almost no connection to Flamenco’s poetry, leading others to believe he is trapped in some sort of thought complex that puts him at the center of his own universe.

Flamenco believes he has the power to control the fates of other dragons. In reality, he doesn’t.

So when he does come out, on the premonition that a “good” day is to come, or that a good omen will fall upon the planet, it means that he managed to escape the dark thoughts that took up residence in his mind long, long ago. Even for a day. Maybe he will write about a “good” subject that day, and he will think he has made dragons happy.
