Pleione Was adopted into the royal court of Silverwick to serve as a lady in waiting to Cosmos, but because Cosmos doesn't care much for propriety or tradition, she has been left mostly to her own devices. To fill her abundant free time, Pleione has taken to stargazing and learning astronomy from the Scholar's Guild. Secretly, or perhaps not so secretly, she wishes she had the gift of sight and could learn the ways of the mystical art from Winter and the rest of the seers in the flight, but she simply doesn't have the gift. However, she has begun to combine astrology with her more scientific astronomy studies (much to the chagrin of her tutors), and is having interesting results.

A quiet and observant dragon, she was originally picked as a lady in waiting because of her practical nature and adherence to social niceties, something many members of the court thought would benefit Cosmos. Still, Cosmos hasn't completely forgotten about her. Because of Pleione's mastery of the art of seeing but not being seen, she often is sent on secretive observation missions, to learn all she can and report back to her queen. In this task she excels.
