Dendarix

As a very independant young dragon, Dendarix never really put a lot of concern into the whole "Charge" thing. She wasn't even sure she wanted a charge. What if she had things to do but she got stuck helping out her charge? What she did know she wanted was adventure. She used the Search as an excuse to leave home early, and explore the world.

Dendarix had little intention of actually finding her charge, she just wanted to wander and explore the lands of Sornieth. Fate had other plans however, and as soon as she neared the border of fire territory, she ran straight into an eccentric young pearlcatcher who was examining the smoldering ashes and embers of the waste. Cinder jolted up in suprise, but it quickly turned to laughter, apologies and introductions. Dendarix was mortified. She had barely made it far from her home and she already found herself faced with the Charge she never wanted. How was she meant to travel now? And then a massive miscommunication arose: Dendarix was so busy panicking about what she thought was the untimely end of her journey, she completely missed that Cinder was talking about all her adventures and Cinder was too busy talking to notice how distressed Dendarix looked. At this point Dendarix decided to try running away. Cinder called out in confusion and sprinted after her. Being much lighter and well practiced, she caught up quickly. Seeing that she was unlikely to escape her apparently athletic charge any time soon, Dendarix decided to explain. Cinder cocked her head in confusion. "Well I can't say I understand this whole 'charge' thing, but I don't think that means you can't travel. I travel all the time, you can come with me!" Since that point, the two have been very close, and Dendarix embarks on adventures with Cinder. Cinder's mate, Mae has been more than relieved, because someone needs too keep Cinder from getting herself into too much trouble, and Mae is not really the adventurous type.
