Biography

As far as the name Bahamut is concerned, it has connections to everything from D&D and Final Fantasy, to ancient folklore telling of a world fish, who could take all the world's oceans in his nostril, and it would be like placing a mustard seed in our own. Previously I had a HUGE block of text detailing every single appearance that I was aware of at the time, but it is extremely verbose, and if you're interested in the lore behind this name, you can look these things up for yourself. The important information for this (or at least I hope the information you find important) is about his connection to the lore surrounding my other characters in the Flight Rising Chapter of the Chroniclers.

Overarching Lore: Just as with Chronias, Bahamut is merely a title bestowed upon one of the highest ranked leaders of the Flight Rising chapter of the Chronicler Clan. He is the most renowned warrior of the clan and has at this point trained alongside warriors from every single flight to learn about specific pitfalls of his own abilities, and how to combat those using elements of different types.

But of course this is not how his story began. Ultimately Bahamut started in the same way most all dragons do. As a fledgling in his mother's arms. His ability was signaled very early on however as Bahamut was always rough housing with friends and had an unusual amount of stamina for someone his age. Other children would tire out long before he was ready to be done playing, which meant that he made a lot of friends within his home flight of Arcane.

One day, his family brought back another fledgling dragon, who we now know as Chronias, and Bahamut vowed to his parents that he would protect his new "little brother" no matter what. After that, once Chronias was old enough to play alongside of Bahamut, the two were inseparable. Mysteriously enough, Chronias seemed to be the only dragon who could keep up with Bahamut in terms of stamina, though is raw energy Bahamut still won out 9 times out of 10. Chronias even managed to get Bahamut interested in the books of the library, something that the rambunctious young dragon had never truly been interested in, by reading to him as he looked through most of the books. Now he wasn't always there with him of course. The two did start to drift apart slightly when they discovered how vastly different their interests were, but they made a pact as they were realizing this happening. That once they were of full age, they would become the greatest team of explorers the flight had ever seen.

And so it was that when the time came, after years of him and his little brother reading on healing and magicks, years of Bahamut learning combat and sparring among those who would challenge him among his friends, and them both undergoing their scout training, that they would go off to face the world. Their first major assignment? A recon mission near the eye of the storm at the Twisting Crescendo....
