Duties include shadowing his father in his line of work

Palisade was raised with the intention of helping his father Maven with his Coliseum duties. Most days, he observes exaltees and guards during their training sessions, rarely training the same time they do. There are closed classes he attends instead, and because he's already so used to the obstacle course they use, he's the top of his class.

He constantly thinks that he spends too much time with his father and feels guilty for not seeking his mother Mare out more. Due to his parents' feuding behaviors and his good relationship with his father, however, he's not too enthusiastic to ask him for time off.

Palisade is overly protective of his younger sister Shadow. He feels her rebellious attitude gets her in too much trouble he needs to keep her out of, and he tries his best to keep her reputation clean.
