Euphemia is an odd kind of dragon. However, she didn't start this way. She was born into a normal family with a normal brother, and she had a pretty normal childhood. This all changed when her mother took her and her brother into the underground chambers hidden behind her den to teach them how to fly. She had been doing great, until she felt ready to glide over a gap bigger than the ones she had been practicing with, and maybe a little deeper. Excited, she took a running start, and jumped into the air, her wings spread out beautifully. She closed her eyes for just a moment, taking in the feeling of the wind beneath her wings, lifting her gently into a place most species can't go. But then, it happened. She felt an outstretched foot suddenly get hit by a pipe out of nowhere. She lost her balance and tumbled down into the darkness, the yelps of her mother and brother disappearing into the light above her. She hit the ground, expecting to be killed then and there, but wasn't. She got up warily, landing on one wing wrong and almost certainly breaking it. Looking into the darkness, she saw a light, and limped towards it, disappearing. Up above, Overture looked into the darkness, shivering. She looked over at her son and with a look that said "she's gone, she's never coming back" before herding him off. A few weeks later, however, Euphemia found a way up, although she was different now. She was much quieter, much darker. She bore scars and a broken wing, but nothing too intense. She was surprisingly not malnourished, although there was likely no food in the depths. But the most striking thing was that she seemed to have become much more powerful. Although she was a Plague dragon, she had the magical capabilities of a Lightning flight Imperial, and the uncanny ability to predict the future with 75% accuracy.
