Calder

Calder is an interesting soul. He loves experimenting with different dangerous arcane magics, which often lands him in trouble. Calder's favourite colour is magenta and he always enjoys adding more magenta runes to his nestroom wall, much to the consternation of his mate Arcana, who's favourite colour is any colour, so long as it's black. Calder's favourite food is shrew stew with hardshell croutons because he loves to drink his food like a vampire. Calder's favourite drink is mana juice because it glows magenta and it makes his belly feel all warm and tingly as he drinks it. Calder's grumpy pet rabbit is called Digger. Calder is always telling Digger how lucky he is that he gets to see the worlds like he does, but Digger doesn't quite see it that way. Digger tends to moan a lot about how he has to suffer the indignity of being teleported into a top hat and about how he never gets enough credit for his part in Calder's shows. Calder diplomatically ignores him about this, unknowing as to the fact that Digger secretly has the gift of prophecy. Digger always wonders when Calder will finally realize that he and Nepthys don't just 'know' what's going to happen.

"Here I am, brain the size of a planet and all you tell me to do is sit in a top hat and look cute."

I can imagine Digger saying something like this because I kinda modeled him on Marvin the Paranoid Android.

Calder and his nestmate Arcana first met Azur at the Trading Post, where they were trying to haggle a new rabbit for Calder from Swipp. Calder was in a bit of a state given his last rabbit had been transdimensionally teleported wrong, and therefore was scattered through the ether at that point. Azur offered to pay for the rabbit (called Digger) if Calder helped out with collecting food for her clan for a while.

As Calder and Arcana spent more and more time with Azur's clan, they started to feel a sense of belonging that they hadn't felt in a long while. When Calder had time off he practiced his arcane magics and dabbled in necromancy, which often landed him in trouble for disappearing the wrong object or causing other... strange side effects, but he soon learnt how to control his powers and started to become unusually useful. Soon Calder and Arcana were the talk of the Tsunami Flats and many dragons queued up to see Calder send his rabbit through wormholes to new locations, a family favourite was an old top hat. Slowly Calder began to earn his own money through his magic talent shows and soon paid off his debts to Azur and the less savoury characters with whom he had met on his travels, but he and Arcana were reluctant to leave Azur's clan for they had grown to love their new oddball family. Calder worships the Arcanist in his own little way. He likes to lay out sacrifice circles with a portion of the food he has gathered in them, and then he sends them off into the ether, never to return. He's not sure if the Arcanist approves, but he hopes that someone or something benefits from his blessings.
