Biography
WIP
Yima means river and that is what she is. One of the smaller tributaries from the Gladeveins river system flows by the Wildthyme lair and one day when Yxagon and Yumitsuki went flittering about it, they noticed part of the river flowing up onto land. Wings and legs and eyes all as blue as the darkest ocean, dripping wet, little Yima arrived in the clan.
Her egg must have drifted from the Leviathan trench on the strong currents around Sornieth and up into the Viridian Labyrinth, where it hatched underwater. Or maybe she never had an egg; maybe she just coalesced from down in the deep. Everyone is pretty sure she's made out of nothing but water and she never goes far from the river.
Just as the river water flows on, so does Yima. She found herself feeling a wander lust of sorts. Needing to move on to the next adventure. She said goodbye to her clan and back to the water she went and flowed along it's currents. Till one day she found a quiet bank and crawled upon it. There she was found by the Patriarch of a new clan, and so her second chapter begins.
She made her home by the river that brought her here, still unsure of the new plan for her life. here as she settled in, got to know the many dragons here, and found a routine she met Cierean, a well established member of the lair and a mage. They began to talk and he showed her the ways of magic and she studies hard. They spent long days and night together, it was inevitable feelings would start to rise.
They had a clutch of eggs together and raised them, when they were grown 3 went to seek new adventure inheriting their mother's wander lust. One stayed and became an entertainer for the lair, learning to sing and dance with the wind. They named her Starling after the song bird of the same name. Things were happy and smooth for a while.
Yima's magic studies became more focused in water magic and manipulation. AS her studies became more intense she lost interest in her relationship with Cierean and he felt pushed away. Silently one night they both knew the relationship gone. She still cares for him and love her daughter very much.
She has mastered her water magic and has been blessed by the Tidelord to be his advocate here in this lair, she also acts as a teacher to those who would want to learn.
She seems to always be floating without having to keep herself aloft with her wings. She moves around as if she is swimming through water, gliding up and down with the occasional wing push to gain speed. Her fishy friends seem to keep no mind they are not in water, the swim about her as she reads, talks and moves about.
