5916.png1176.png 		Anri was thought to be dead from the moment she was hatched. Or rather, from the moment she wasn't hatched. While her two other siblings broke from their shells with ease, Anri's shell didn't so much as budge. There were no cracks, no sounds, and no warmth from within the small vessel. This was not uncommon and so the strangely light egg was kicked from the nest and down into the woods, given no other thought. It was only when Lavinia returned to her now barren nest that she found the truth.

There, nestled in the hollowed out trunk, was a bright-eye'd female with pink swirls over her scales that flowed like a river over her body. The imperial was without a doubt Lavinia's child, but the question of how she escaped her shell without cracking it remains a mystery to this day.

And the mystery didn't end there.

Throughout her life, Anri has vanished without a trace, only to appear at a later time as if she'd never been gone at all. The mysterious child was also able to speak and hunt for herself far before any other hatchling, and when she moved it was as though her feet never graced the ground. There are whispers around the clan that perhaps Lavinia had been correct in her assumption that the egg had died, and that Anri was actually the ghost of that unborn child.

But of course, that's only a rumor.
